Southwinds Golf Course is currently undergoing a fairway renovation this summer to improve overall playing conditions. As part of this project, the existing fairways will be treated with a selective herbicide.
The first phase began on April 1, 2026, with treatment of the front nine fairways. The course will remain open during this time; however, players may notice browning or thinning of the fairways as part of the process. The second phase, which will focus on the back nine, will begin once the front nine has recovered and is playable.
On or around May 4, 2026, the front nine (holes 1–9 and the chipping area) will close for play temporarily. During this time, the back nine will remain open for both nine and eighteen-hole play. Please note that the exact timing of this closure may vary depending on weather conditions and construction progress.
